Programmer

JK Internet Limited provides web site content management and e-commerce software both directly and through resellers. Our unique design approach has proved very successful in building a wide variety of web solutions for companies of all sizes.

As part of a programme of expansion, we are looking for a programmer to join a small team in our Newbury office, to help build new versions of our software products. The role will also involve development of custom software for client web sites, development of stand-alone Windows applications and services, installation of software on servers and some technical support.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience creating database and/or Internet software in a commercial environment. He or she will have the ability to both work alone as well as being a key team player. The complexity and sophistication of our JK WebDIRECTOR and JK businessGLUE software products means that programmers will require professional experience.

The key technical skill required is the Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP.NET) environment. The summary of technical skills is:-

• Microsoft .Net 2.0/3.0/3.5
• Database (Microsoft SQL)
• Visual Basic or C#
• Large-scale software design
• N-tier Application Architecture
• Windows Communication Fountation
• Unit Testing
• HTML, CSS, XML, XSL
• JavaScript, DHTML

The job will also involve providing second-line technical support to customers, as and when required.
