JK Internet today announced software for document management on Intranets.

The new software allows a file store to be created, where users can gain access to the latest versions of core business documents, images, and other resources. Facilities to navigate to or search for documents are provided, information on revisions and what the document contains, and simple means of getting the latest revision of a document.

By centrallising access to key business documents, while providing a simple means of obtaining them, businesses can ensure their own resources are being used properly. Problems where staff cannot obtain a document they need or use a out-of-date document, are removed.

The structure of the software makes it easy to implement on customer servers. Use of 'skins' allows web developers to fully customise the look and feel of the interface to suit corporate guidelines or fit in with existing Intranets.

Although using some common code from the JK Internet software library, this is a new stand-alone application that can be implemented on Intranets based on Microsoft's popular Internet Information Server (IIS). The software is built on Microsoft's powerful .NET Framework technology.
