BSI Electrical Engineers Application

The BSI Electrical Engineers On-line Kitemark application system went live on the web today (17th October 2005). This new site provides an on-line registration service for Electrical Engineers who wish to apply for a BSI "Kite Mark" accreditation.

The wizard-based application form accepts information from the applicant in order to process their application. As well as contact details and information about their business, it asks several key questions that are used to determine if an on-line application is appropriate.

The wizard includes use of the postcode lookup facility built into JK CONTENTmanager software, and makes extensive use of the SQL database integration tools also available. Ths system also provides a quote and then accepts an on-line credit card payment. Finally, the data collected is passed to BSI's own Customer Relationship System.

This is an advanced transaction processing system, that allows these applications to be processes quickly and simply, while reducing the administrative overhead within BSI.
