![]() Site Wins National Marketing AwardCity College Southampton has received a national marketing award for its website this week, at the annual conference for further education practitioners. The Website First award, was presented at an awards evening as part of the FE Marketing Network Conference, which links marketing professionals from colleges across the UK. The college has relaunched its website in April this year, with improved content, navigation and search facility. This involved consultation with staff and student groups to make sure that the site met the needs of a wide range of users. The site beat off competition from 12 other entries, and the judges commented, “The City College site feels like a magazine and targets both young and more mature audiences well. It has good, easy to use navigability and the evaluation with user groups is on-going and implemented.” Graphic Designer, Debbie Jones said, “We are delighted to win this award and recognition for the work which we have done this year to improve the site. The focus groups and ongoing research which is underway has been particularly useful is helping to refine our site and improve the visitor experience for all our site users.” City College has recently launched new training guides for school leavers, employers and part time learners, and course information is available online at www.resultsforlife.com. Vicki Murphy, Marketing and Communications Manager for City College, said "Using JK CONTENTmanager means we have been able to use technologies such as content-management and database integration without compromise to design and ease of use" |
