EU Domains now available

The brand new .EU domain extension went go live on Friday, April 7th. .EU is the abbreviation for the European Union and is only available to those businesses and individuals located in the EU.

What is a .EU domain and who can get one?

.EU is only available to those businesses and individuals located in the European Union. The following categories of companies, organisations and individuals will be able to register a .EU domain:

• Undertakings having their registered office, central administration or principal place of business within the European Community;
• Organizations established within the European Community without prejudice to the application of national law;
• Natural persons resident within the European Community.
