We haven't sent out Christmas cards this year. Instead, we sent a cow!
This brown cow can provide women like Yulkuncha in Kyrgyzstan with a daily source of milk to drink, manure for her crops and, after a few months, calves to eat or sell. Once the cow has calved Yulkuncha can return a calf to a Christian Aid partner who can then loan it to another family. This kind of project could provide people like Yulkuncha with the support they need to be self-sufficient.
